About Us:
3Wave: Fitness & Health

Here’s the story:

why a certified personal trainer and a kinesiologist came together to create 3Wave.

Well, let’s start with the name.

3Wave’s name is derived from our love of the West Coast and all the things that make it so amazing to live here.

And the 3 refers to the 3 pillars of the company that we decided should guide the company:

FUN, RESILIENCE, PROGRESSION.

The Pillars:

1 is Fun

Not only fun for you as a client while you work hard with our programs, but also fun for us as the partners in the company. Too many times in adult life we’re faced with stress and all the associated issues, so keeping fun at the centre of what we do helps to balance that out! And we’ll do our best to share in that fun with you whenever we can!

2 is Resilience

We have been through the ups and downs (heck, our company was just taking off when this little thing called COVID hit!), but we’ve always persevered. And it’s such a good metaphor for the training cycles that most people go through. There are ups and downs, booms and busts and hiccups along the way, but through it all we keep going! This is the resilience that we have developed that we also want to pass along to you in your fitness journey.

3 is Progression

Every workout that you do, every set that you mark down on the platform and every step you take is progress. And we feel it too.

We’re stoked for your progression and also on our own journey of progression as well! Both kinesiologists and certified personal trainers must constantly update their education in order to maintain their certifications, so you know that we are always growing as coaches and passing along all that new knowledge to the people that we’re working with!

THE COMMITMENT

These factors mean that you are in really good hands with us as fitness professionals and also as your fans!

We’re not here to beat you down or bully you, but rather to educate and support you! We want you to feel our empathy in the work that we put into our platform and our coaching sessions.

It doesn’t matter if you are a professional or a student, a fitness amateur or a gym aficionado, we can help. We want you to be strong, healthy and confident, whether you’re pushing yourself to that next rep or engaging in some well-deserved self-care. We can help you to find the service and schedule that works for your busy life and support you as you lean into those goals you’ve set.

We endeavour to make the community of 3Wave folks feel like they’re in the right place when they’re training with us.

OUR VALUES:

SELF CONFIDENCE

You want to feel good in the skin you’re in, and we want to help you understand just how awesome you are. Your 3Wave coaches are here to support you on that journey!

COMMUNITY

We want to build a community of amazing people like you! We’ll always encourage a strong sense of kinship amongst all those people who join 3Wave so that you feel supported, have a great time and have a crew to celebrate your victories!

EQUALITY

We believe in human equality, period. We want to know who you are and create the best path forward for you and your needs. We respect the rights and choices of all humans to exist.

TRANSPARENCY

We are entrusted with your fitness journey, and that trust has to flow both ways. So we are committed to being transparent with our business practices and values.

MEET YOUR COACHES

COACH JESS

She’s a Kinesiologist, Fascial Stretch Specialist and personal trainer with over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry, with specifications in rehab, athletic performance, concussion research and FASD. She’s worked with a multitude of athletes in volleyball, rugby, hockey and fencing. She slowly moved into educating and working with labour fields after she spent a few years in landscaping herself. She loves challenging herself to learn new ways of moving her body, and won’t just stop at Dragon Pistol Squats and Muscle Ups.

She has 2 cats, 1 chameleon and too many fish to count. When she’s not exercising, she’ll prune your plants or drop into a stretch to avoid sitting still, then when she’s sick of that she goes to every electronic musical festival she can get to.

Jess’ is great at creating an amazing training environment for clients, no matter their ability or needs.
